MTABA Coffee with BCBAs Networking Event - Starting Feb. 24th @ 7PM
Hello MTABA members!
We would like to start some informal monthly meetings (Coffee with a BCBA?) to build a support network for those practicing ABA in the state. We are going to do our first one next week on February 24th at 7:00 PM. This will be an opportunity to talk to others in the state and learn from one another. We would like to keep the groups small and after the initial meeting to gauge interest, will split into groups of 5-7 people. Everyone that is interested is welcome to attend.
Some ground rules: These meetings need to stay within the framework of our ethics code. We want to share evidence-based practices and ideas that are current and timely. This is a small state, so be careful with confidentiality. Be mindful of everyone in the group and willing to share relevant experience without dominating the conversation.
We are hopeful to make this a fun way to learn together and mentor others. We will have a topic each month or maybe we will do a case management discussion about a client. Please come to our first meeting with a few ideas for future topics. Our topic for February is Dr. Hanley’s “My Way” program. Have you tried it? Is it working? Do you need some help to get started?
We will tentatively plan on the fourth Thursday of each month for meetings and will make announcements about topics, dates, and zoom links through the MTABA website. Hope to see you there!
